Easy Fresh Tomato Sauce

  • 10 tomatoes
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 yellow onion
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon fresh basil


  • Chop the tomatoes into large chunks
  • Add the tomatoes to a food processor and pulse until smooth
  • Chop the garlic cloves to small pieces
  • Chop the onion into small pieces
  • Heat a large pot over medium heat
  • Add the olive oil, garlic and onion to the pot and cook until golden
  • Add the tomatoes and stir together
  • Stir in the salt
  • Let simmer for 10-20 minutes depending on desired thickness
  • When ready to serve add the basil into the sauce and mix in
